MFA bypass via excessive code attempts

Improper MFA attempt restriction in SonicWall SonicOS SSLVPN allows remote authenticated users to submit excessive MFA codes. The SSLVPN authentication flow fails to enforce an adequate attempt limit on MFA codes; SonicWall has not disclosed the responsible function or enforcement logic. A valid first-factor session is required, after which repeated MFA guesses can defeat the second-factor gate and grant the targeted VPN account's access.
