Unauthenticated administrative access
Published May 12, 2023 · Updated Jan 27, 2025
Authentication bypass in NetApp SnapCenter 4.7 before 4.7P2 and 4.8 before 4.8P1 allows remote attackers to gain admin access. NetApp has not published the affected endpoint or the authentication check omitted when an unauthenticated request is processed. Network reachability to the SnapCenter Server is the only published gate, and successful exploitation grants administrative control over its backup-management functions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.7 prior to 4.7P2 and 4.8 prior to 4.8P1
