Reflected XSS via unescaped tab attribute
Published Feb 28, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in GN Publisher 1.5.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts in an administrator's browser via a crafted URL. The settings page inserts the unescaped tab parameter into the class attribute of its upgrade button, allowing injected event handlers. An administrator must open the crafted link and trigger the chosen event; the script then runs with that administrator's browser privileges and can alter the site.
