CVE-2023-1070Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file deletion via export filename

Published Feb 27, 2023 · Updated Mar 10, 2025

External file-path control in Teampass before 3.0.0.22 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary text files. The export_to_html_format_finalize action appends .txt to the supplied file value and unlinks that path without restricting it to the export directory. Any signed-in user can target the predictable teampass-seckey.txt encryption key, and deleting it causes an unrecoverable service failure.
