Stored XSS via unencoded GDPR email filter
Published Feb 27, 2023 · Updated Mar 10, 2025
Stored XSS in Pimcore before 10.5.18 allows remote authenticated users to run script in an administrator's browser via a crafted email search. The GDPR sent-mail data provider inserts searchParams.email into toolbar text without HTML encoding, allowing stored markup to reach the ExtJS view. An account able to set that filter can trigger script execution when another authenticated user opens the view, exposing or altering data available to that browser session.
