CVE-2023-1047Public exploit

Local kernel code execution via exposed driver operations

Published Feb 26, 2023 · Updated Nov 22, 2024

Improper initialization in Real Temp 3.7.0.0 allows local users to execute arbitrary code in the Windows kernel through WinRing0x64.sys. The bundled 1.2.0.5 driver exposes model-specific-register writes and physical-memory reads and writes to an unprivileged caller instead of restricting device access during initialization. A local account and a loaded driver are required; successful exploitation grants kernel-level control over system memory and processor state.
