Authenticated code execution via unrestricted remote file download
Published Feb 26, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SSRF in MuYuCMS 2.2 allows remote authenticated users to make the server fetch a chosen URL through the update file-download endpoint. The getFile handler trusts the url and save_dir request values, downloads the supplied remote file, and stores it in the chosen web-accessible directory without restricting the source or destination. An authenticated user with update access can place executable PHP in the web root and request it to run code with the web server's privileges.
