Authenticated SQL injection via unescaped user_id

SQL injection in SourceCodester Clinics Patient Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries. The update_user.php handler incorporates the user_id request argument into an SQL statement without neutralizing SQL control characters. Valid clinic-management credentials are required; successful injection can read or modify application database records or interrupt database-backed operations.
