Authenticated arbitrary file read via backslash traversal
Published Feb 25, 2023 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
Path traversal in SuiteCRM before 7.12.9 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through crafted file_path input. The affected handler accepts a backslash-based ..\filename sequence in file_path without confining the resolved path to its intended directory. A low-privileged SuiteCRM account is required, and the CNA assessment limits impact to disclosure rather than file modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
