Authenticated post-listing disclosure via nonce-only authorization
Published Feb 28, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in JoomUnited WP Meta SEO 4.5.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to list published posts by category. The listPostsCategory function treats a nonce available to every signed-in role as access control and performs no capability check before returning the listing. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; the disclosed consequence is limited to reading listings for posts that are already published.
