Administrator-session script execution via unescaped ticket description
Published May 15, 2023 · Updated Jan 24, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Help Desk WP 1.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through tickets. The ticket submission path stores the unescaped description parameter and later inserts it into the administrator ticket view as executable markup. Editor privileges are required to create the ticket, and the script executes only when an administrator opens it, exposing that browser session to attacker-controlled actions.
