Authenticated file disclosure via unfiltered option path
Published Feb 24, 2023 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
Path traversal in DrayTek Vigor 2960 1.5.1.4 and 1.5.1.5 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files via the WebUI. The sub_1DF14 function in /cgi-bin/mainfunction.cgi passes the unfiltered option parameter to configuration-export file access, allowing /../ sequences to escape the intended directory. A valid Web Management Interface session is required, and the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of appliance files rather than modification or service interruption.
