Authenticated file read via unconfined file_path
Published Feb 24, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Path traversal in MuYuCMS 2.2 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through the editor endpoint. The editor/index.php get_file action accepts file_path with parent-directory segments and returns the referenced file without confining the resolved path to the template directory. A valid application session is required; successful exploitation discloses files readable by the PHP process without modifying them.
