Administrator creation via unverified cross-origin request
Published Feb 24, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in SourceCodester Sales Tracker Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to add an administrator account. The classes/Users.php?f=save handler accepts a credentialed multipart POST that creates a type-1 user without verifying a CSRF token or request origin. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open attacker-controlled JavaScript, after which the new account grants administrative access.
