Account takeover via unauthorized password reset
Published Jun 6, 2023 · Updated Jan 7, 2025
Authorization bypass in mbCONNECT24 and myREX24 portals 2.13.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to take over administrator accounts. The affected mbCONNECT24, mymbCONNECT24, myREX24, and myREX24.virtual portals accept a low-privileged user's request to change another user's password without enforcing authorization for the target user. A low-privileged account is required; resetting an administrator's password permits administrator access unless MFA remains enabled for that administrator.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
