Key-material disclosure via compiler-elided buffer clearing
Published May 18, 2023 · Updated Jan 22, 2025
Key-material exposure in Silicon Labs Gecko Platform 4.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read cryptographic keys from RAM. In sli_cryptoacc_transparent_key_agreement, compiler optimization removes the buffer-clearing operation and leaves duplicated key material in RAM. Low-privileged network access is required, and the consequence is limited to disclosure of residual cryptographic material.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
