File disclosure via enabled directory indexes
Published Feb 22, 2023 · Updated Mar 12, 2025
Path traversal in FlatPress before 1.3 allows attackers to enumerate and read web-accessible files through enabled directory indexes. The root .htaccess file lacks Options -Indexes, allowing compatible web servers to generate listings instead of denying directory enumeration. Exploitation requires directory indexing to be enabled, and disclosure is limited to files readable by the web server beneath indexed paths.
