CVE-2023-0944Network attack vector

Account takeover via unauthorized user data update

Published Apr 5, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

IDOR in IMA World Health BHIMA 1.27.0 allows remote authenticated users to take over accounts by changing user session data. The user-update request accepts another account's identifier and applies username, email, or password changes without checking the caller's permission for that account. Regular user access is sufficient to change any registered account, including an administrator password, without access to the administrative interface.
