Database data disclosure via unparameterized category filter
Published Feb 21, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Music Gallery Site 1.0 allows remote attackers to read database data through the public cid parameter. The public music_list.php category filter incorporates cid into an SQL query without parameterization, so a UNION payload changes the query. No login is required, and the published proof of concept retrieves the database name and server version through the HTTP response.
