Database inference via unauthenticated password SQL injection
Published Feb 19, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in login.php in SourceCodester Simple Customer Relationship Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to infer database behavior. The login handler evaluates crafted POST password values as SQL, and XOR expressions invoking MySQL SLEEP produce attacker-selected response delays. No authentication or user interaction is required; the artifact demonstrates a timing oracle but does not demonstrate database reads, writes, or command execution.
