Authenticated database disclosure via unbound transaction ID
Published Feb 18, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Auto Dealer Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to disclose database data through the id parameter. The view_transaction.php handler uses the id query value in a transaction lookup without parameter binding, allowing a UNION payload to alter the SQL statement. Staff-level access and a valid session are required; the published request retrieves the database name, DBMS version, and database user.
