Remote code execution via mDNS stack overflow

Stack buffer overflow in Canon printer firmware 11.04 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted mDNS packets. The mDNS packet handler fails to validate attacker-controlled data length before copying it into a fixed-length stack buffer during NSEC registration. No authentication or user interaction is required; access to the target's network segment enables code execution as the service account or makes the printer unresponsive.
