Stored XSS via unsanitized administrative settings
Published Mar 13, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Stored XSS in Kiboko Labs Ltd. Namaste! LMS before 2.6 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through administrative settings. The plugin stores administrative text, including accept_other_payment_methods and other_payment_methods, without sufficient sanitization and later renders it without output escaping. Administrator privileges are required, and the payload executes when another user opens an affected course or enrollment page, even when unfiltered_html is disabled.
