CVE-2023-0834

Local privilege escalation via incorrect resource permissions

Published Apr 28, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025

Incorrect permissions in HYPR Workforce Access 6.12 through 8.0 allow local users on macOS to gain elevated privileges. The client assigns unsafe permissions to a critical HyprOneService resource, but HYPR has not disclosed the resource or permission-setting operation. A low-privileged local account is required, and successful exploitation grants elevated control over the affected workstation.
