Weak credentials via missing password length checks

Weak password enforcement in phpMyFAQ before 3.1.11 allows remote authenticated users to assign or change passwords under eight characters. The admin/ajax.user.php user-creation and password-change handlers accepted submitted passwords without enforcing a minimum length on the server. Authenticated access to user-management paths is required; the flaw permits weak credentials that are easier to guess rather than directly disclosing data or executing code.
