Stored script execution via unescaped instance fields
Published Feb 12, 2023 · Updated Mar 21, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in phpMyFAQ before 3.1.11 allows remote authenticated users to run script in another user's browser. The administration instances page concatenates supplied instance and comment values into a new HTML table row without escaping them. Exploitation requires permission to add an instance and another user to view the resulting row, exposing that browser session to attacker-controlled actions.
