CVE-2023-0789Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Command execution via unstripped question and answer input

Published Feb 12, 2023 · Updated Mar 21, 2025

Command injection in phpMyFAQ before 3.1.11 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through submitted FAQ content. The ajaxservice.php handler accepts question and answer parameters as unsafe raw input, and affected code does not strip embedded tags before further processing. A low-privileged account is required; the CNA reports command execution but does not disclose the downstream command sink.
