CVE-2023-0783Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via mixed-case PHP upload

Published Feb 11, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Unrestricted file upload in ShopeX ECShop 4.1.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through template.php. The administration handler applies insufficient extension filtering, so a mixed-case .phP filename is stored beneath the web-accessible themes directory and executed as PHP. An authenticated management-session cookie is required; successful exploitation installs a web shell that runs commands with the web server process privileges.
