Unauthenticated credential modification via crafted management packets
Published Sep 19, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Improper authentication in Uniview IPC322LB-SF28-A cameras allows remote attackers to modify device credentials via crafted HTTP requests. The web management interface accepts crafted credential-change packets without authenticating the requester, although Uniview has not disclosed the endpoint or failed check. HTTP reachability from a LAN or mapped Internet port is required, and a successful credential change grants unauthorized camera access.
