Authenticated database disclosure via unescaped gallery order identifier
Published Apr 17, 2023 · Updated Mar 5, 2025
SQL injection in Gallery by BestWebSoft before 4.7.0 allows remote authenticated users with Author access to read database data. The gallery update path inserts the attacker-controlled nested image ID from the gallery order POST parameter into an SQL query without sufficient escaping or preparation. Exploitation requires the Slider by BestWebSoft plugin and a gallery publish or update request; the time-based response oracle exposes sensitive database values.
