CVE-2023-0748Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Open redirect via unvalidated wallet return URLs

Published Feb 8, 2023 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

Open redirect in BTCPay Server before 1.7.6 allows remote authenticated users to send victims to untrusted sites via crafted links. Wallet and shared confirmation views place return, cancel, action, and form URLs into navigation targets without verifying that they remain local. Public registration and victim interaction are required; the bounded consequence is browser navigation to an attacker-chosen site.
