CVE-2023-0735Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account deletion via unprotected state-changing request

Published Feb 7, 2023 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

Cross-site request forgery in wallabag before 2.5.4 allows remote attackers to delete a logged-in user's account through their browser. The account-deletion route accepted a state-changing request without requiring POST or validating a CSRF token before deleting the current user. Exploitation requires a logged-in user to follow an attacker-controlled request; successful execution permanently removes that user's account.
