Unauthorized tag modification via missing ownership check
Published Mar 5, 2023 · Updated Mar 6, 2025
Improper authorization in wallabag before 2.5.4 allows remote attackers to add tags to entries owned by other users. TagController accepts an entry identifier and assigns submitted tags without verifying that the current user owns the selected entry. No account or user interaction is required; successful requests alter another user's saved-entry metadata.
