Administrative folder reordering via forged request
Published Jun 9, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
CSRF in Wicked Folders 2.18.16 and earlier allows remote attackers to change the plugin folder structure through a forged request. The ajax_save_sort_order handler accepts the state-changing request without verifying a valid WordPress nonce. An administrator must be logged in and induced to submit the request; the documented consequence is limited to reordering the plugin-managed folders.
