CVE-2023-0683Network attack vector

Authenticated privilege escalation via crafted API call

Published May 1, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025

Improper input validation in Lenovo XClarity Controller allows remote authenticated read-only users to gain elevated privileges through a crafted API call. Lenovo has not published the affected API endpoint or the validation error that accepts the crafted request. Successful exploitation requires a valid read-only XCC account and grants access reserved for a higher-privileged XCC role; Lenovo has not specified the resulting administrative actions.
