Subscriber-level SQL injection via concatenated shortcode attributes
Published Mar 20, 2023 · Updated Feb 26, 2025
SQL injection in VeronaLabs SlimStat Analytics before 4.9.3.3 allows remote authenticated users to read database data via a shortcode. The shortcode renderer concatenates user-controlled attributes directly into an SQL query instead of parameterizing them. Subscriber access is sufficient to send the AJAX shortcode request and extract sensitive database content, including usernames and password hashes.
