Session cookie theft via reflected filename script
Published Feb 9, 2023 · Updated Mar 24, 2025
Reflected XSS in OrangeScrum 2.0.11 allows remote attackers to steal user session cookies through a crafted download link. The /defect/defects/download endpoint reflects its filename query parameter into an HTML response without neutralizing script markup. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted link; injected JavaScript runs in the application's origin and can disclose that user's session cookie.
