CVE-2023-0609Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cross-account entry disclosure via missing ownership check

Published Feb 1, 2023 · Updated Mar 26, 2025

Improper authorization in wallabag before 2.5.3 allows remote authenticated users to export entries owned by other accounts. The downloadEntryAction method sends the entry selected by the request identifier to export helpers without comparing its owner with the logged-in user. Any ordinary account can retrieve another user's saved article content by requesting its identifier; no administrative role or victim interaction is required.
