CVE-2023-0603Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via CSRF-forged settings update

Published May 8, 2023 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Stored XSS in Sloth Logo Customizer 2.0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject JavaScript through a forged settings request. The setting() function accepts the imageAttachmentId setting without nonce validation, sanitization, or output escaping, so a crafted value persists and executes in an administrator's browser. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open an attacker-controlled page, and the script runs with that administrator's WordPress session privileges.
