CVE-2023-0587Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service interruption via malformed PUT file uploads

Published Feb 1, 2023 · Updated Mar 27, 2025

Unrestricted file upload in Trend Micro Apex One server build 11110 allows remote attackers to exhaust server disk space via HTTP PUT. The fcgiOfcDDA.exe handler accepts a malformed Content-Length value and writes attacker-supplied request data into PCCSRV\TEMP\SampleSubmission without authentication. Repeated large uploads can consume the Windows server volume and interrupt Apex One services; uploaded files remain confined to the sample-submission directory.
