CVE-2023-0549Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via unstripped private messages

Published Jan 27, 2023 · Updated Mar 28, 2025

Stored cross-site scripting in YetAnotherForum.NET 3.1.0 through 3.1.10 allows remote authenticated users to run script in a recipient's browser. PostPrivateMessage stores HTML from the subject and message fields without stripping it, and the inbox renders the stored subject and body. A forum account is required to send the private message, and the recipient must open it before the payload executes in that recipient's trusted session.
