Admin-level stored XSS via unsanitized currency setting
Published Feb 27, 2023 · Updated Mar 10, 2025
Stored XSS in Namaste! LMS before 2.5.9.4 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the payment currency setting. The admin settings handler stores the currency value without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, so crafted attributes execute when the settings page renders. Administrative access is required, and the flaw applies when unfiltered_html is disabled, including multisite installations; viewing the poisoned page executes code in the browser.
