Weak password encoding in Mitsubishi Electric GT and GOT products allows remote attackers to recover plaintext passwords from captured traffic. The Data Transfer Security function applies reversible encoding to passwords placed in transfer packets, allowing captured values to be decoded. Exposure requires the function to be enabled and a GT Designer3 or SoftGOT-GOT data transfer to cross a network path accessible to the attacker.
