Browser script execution via unescaped URL parameter
Published May 15, 2023 · Updated Jan 24, 2025
Stored XSS in RapidExpCart 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject script through the rapidexpcart endpoint. The endpoint stores the url parameter without sanitizing it and later writes the value into a page without output escaping. Missing CSRF protection lets a forged form supply the payload when a logged-in administrator acts, causing the script to run in users' browsers.
