Administrator-session script execution via unescaped POST value
Published May 8, 2023 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
Reflected XSS in Membership Database 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser via a crafted request. The admin member-list page returns the POST value parameter in its response without sanitizing or escaping it. An authenticated administrator must open attacker-controlled content that submits the request, after which the script runs with that administrator's site privileges.
