Plugin activation via missing nonce verification
Published Mar 27, 2023 · Updated Feb 19, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in DevItems WP Education before 1.2.7 allows remote attackers to activate installed plugins through an administrator. The recommended-plugins activation path accepts a crafted request without verifying a WordPress nonce before changing plugin state. An attacker must induce a logged-in administrator to submit the request; the consequence is limited to activating plugins already present on the site.
