CVE-2023-0493Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored HTML injection via unencoded API-key labels

Published Jan 26, 2023 · Updated Mar 31, 2025

Stored HTML injection in BTCPay Server before 1.7.5 allows remote authenticated users to render crafted markup through API-key labels. DeleteAPIKey interpolates the saved label into a ConfirmModel description without HTML encoding, so the delete dialog treats label text as markup. A self-registered account is sufficient; the demonstrated impact is injected links or altered markup in that authenticated user's confirmation dialog.
