CVE-2023-0486Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator account takeover via reflected class parameter

Published Apr 4, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Reflected XSS in VitalPBX 3.2.3-8 allows remote attackers to steal an administrator's session through a malicious link. The root page inserts the class query parameter into markup without neutralization, letting an image error handler read the sid cookie and send it off-site. The attacker needs no account, but an authenticated administrator must open the crafted URL; the stolen session grants control of that administrator account.
