Application crash via unbounded archive decompression

Data amplification in HashiCorp go-getter before 1.7.0 and 2.0.0 through 2.1.1 allows attackers to crash applications via archive URLs. The archive decompressors copy expanded content without default output-size or file-count limits, allowing small inputs to exhaust memory or storage. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled URL input to reach decompression in a consuming application; no confidentiality or integrity impact is reported.
