Stored script execution via unescaped settings
Published Jan 23, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in the youtube-channel WordPress plugin 3.0.12.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via settings. The settings update path stores parameter values without sufficient input sanitization, and affected views output those values without escaping. Administrator-level access is required to plant a payload; the script then executes in the browser of each visitor to an affected page.
